Fulham boss looking to add to his squad in January

Lawrie Sanchez admits he is 'looking forward' to adding to his Fulham squad in the January transfer window. The Fulham boss was among the most active managers in the summer, spending in excess of £20million on a string of new players. But there is still money available for more recruits in the New Year, and Sanchez is eagerly awaiting the window to open. "We've discussed the transfer budget and the areas we'd like to improve," Sanchez told the club's official website.

Widening the net

"We'd like to freshen up the team and the budget was always there after the summer and a figure set. "We spoke about it the other day and we're looking forward to doing some business in the window. "We didn't spend all the money that was available in the summer and it's within this year's budget. We're widening the net now." Meanwhile, young defender Elliot Omozusi is aiming to secure a regular spot in the Fulham side after starting his third Premier League game of the season in Monday's 2-0 defeat at Manchester United.
Pushing on
Omozusi said: "I've been training and working hard - I have been training a lot with the first team and I've started three games so far this season, so hopefully I will be able to push on from there. "The manager told me that I have done well in the games I played and the next thing was for me to hold my place in the team on a consistent basis. "It's all about training and keeping my head down."
