As previously reported, the Serie A side have made contact with Inamoto's parent club Gamba Osaka, and are keen to sign the Fulham loanee during the close season.
Although Sartori feels it is too early to comment on whether the Japanese duo will become Flying Donkeys stars next term, Chievo are certainly keeping tabs on their situation.
"We had the chance to clinch Inamoto's signature a long time ago," he told planetfootball.com. "So it is normal we keep on scouting him.
"They (Inamoto and Yanagisawa) are both excellent players, but it's just too soon to say if they will come to Chievo or even to Italy.
"In the last days, we were linked to so many players, that we are making a public statement about it."
Sartori was keen to stress that the priority is for the team to seal European qualification before they ponder any transfer moves.
"Of course, if we gained access to the Champions League, our strategies would change," he added.
"As for now, anyway, we have to defend our Uefa Cup place because we have difficult matches ahead, and Parma and Udinese are still on our backs.
"Apart from the result of our campaign, you also have to consider that these two guys we mentioned (Inamoto and Yanagisawa) are non-EU players."
It is also clear that Sartori does not want to consider former Arsenal man Inamoto as a possible replacement for the likes of Eugenio Corini or Simone Perrotta.
"Inamoto could simply be one of the four midfielders," he asserted. "Corini or Perrotta may both stay or go, we can't say it now.
"We plan to have two players for each role, so anyone who comes in knows that he will have to fight for a place, and then the coach decides who plays."
Yanagisawa is currently with Kashima Antlers in his homeland.
