Tarmo Kink has warned the Republic of Ireland that Estonia are determined to qualify for the European Championship.

Ireland will play crucial second leg of play-off at home

Tarmo Kink has warned the Republic of Ireland that Estonia are determined to make history by qualifying for their first ever European Championship. The two teams were drawn to face each other in a play-off for one of the four remaining places in next summer's showpiece event after they finished as runners-up in their respective groups. For Estonia, it is the first time they have ever reached the play-off stage but Kink - who plays his club football with Middlesbrough - wants to continue to reach new goals with his national team. "It's a huge tie for us," he said.

Tough

"We have already made history by making the play-offs for the first time, and now everyone in Estonia is hoping we can make our debut in the European Championships. "It will be a tough tie against Ireland, but it would have been tough whoever we drew for these games. "I know some of the Irish players and they will be just as determined to qualify as we are." Giovanni Trapattoni's team will play the first leg away in Tallinn on 11th November before hosting Estonia at the Aviva Stadium four days later.
