Wolves keeper set to make Riverside debut after switching on loan

Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has joined Championship outfit Middlesbrough on a one-month loan deal. Boro boss Tony Mowbray has made the move to provide cover for Jason Steele, who has had surgery for a fractured bone in his wrist. The loan deal comes after Ikeme played for Boro in their final pre-season friendly against PSV Eindhoven last Friday. The 25-year-old is now set to make his league debut for Mowbray's side in their Championship opener with Portsmouth on Saturday. The shot-stopper brings plenty of experience to the Riverside, having had previous loan spells with Sheffield United, Queens Park Rangers, Leicester, Accrington and Stockport.
