Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan has confirmed he could be ready to draft in some of the club's most promising youngsters.
With Boro no longer able to gain a place in the play-offs their last two games do not have anything riding on them.
And Strachan is ready to use the chance to look at some of the club's up-and-coming talent.
The two set to benefit are England youth internationals Luke Williams, who has already seen action as a substitute this season, and Bruno Pilatos.
"Bruno might get a game now and Luke might get a game now. I would like to have played Luke before now but he's had injuries," Strachan said.
"That's not to say they'll be playing next year, it's just to give them a taste of what can happen, so they might play. But I'll not be kidded by who does what now."
Class
Strachan also fired a warning to some of the club's other younger players who were not yet ready to step up.
"As Dave (Parnaby) will tell you, Adam Johnson is the last of the real class players," he said.
"You go back now to about 16 or 17. There's nobody grabbing us between Adam and there and saying, 'Play me'.
"There are younger ones and it's up to them now to say they're worthy of being there for next year, but I've already made up my mind about those who are here."
