Campbell and Owens join Seasiders

Blackpool have completed a double transfer swoop with the loan signings of striker DJ Campbell and winger Graeme Owens. Campbell has joined the Seasiders for the remainder of the season from League One outfit Leicester. Owens has completed his switch to Bloomfield Road on a one-month deal, as revealed by skysports.com on Wednesday. Campbell, who moved to Leicester for an initial fee of £1.6million in July 2007 after previous spells at Brentford and Yeading, will go straight into the squad to face another of his former clubs Birmingham. Owens could also be in line to make his debut against Alex McLeish's side on Saturday. The 20-year-old winger was a key member of Middlesbrough's FA Youth Cup-winning side in 2004 and spent a month on loan at Chesterfield in March last year. He made his full debut for Boro in the Carling Cup against Tottenham last season and began training with Blackpool on Thursday morning.
