De Vries and Andrews join on loan

Leeds United have brought in Championship strikers Mark de Vries and Wayne Andrews on month-long loan deals. Dennis Wise has moved for reinforcements after first-choice forwards Tresor Kandol and Jermaine Beckford were sent off against Gillingham on Saturday. With Tore Andre Flo and Leon Constantine injured, Wise was anxious to add to his squad before Tuesday's League One encounter at Oldham Athletic. The Leeds boss has secured deals for De Vries and Andrews, who have moved to Elland Road from Leicester City and Coventry City respectively. De Vries has scored once in eight appearances this season, but has been allowed out on loan by new Foxes boss Gary Megson. Andrews, meanwhile, has just one late substitute outing for Coventry under his belt, and spent spells on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City last term.
