Inter hopeful on Cesar

Internazionale are still hoping to secure the signature of Lazio's Brazilian Cesar.

Internazionale are still hoping to secure the signature of Lazio's Brazilian Cesar.

Inter have been trailing Cesar since last summer and are keen to broker a deal this month.

"I have no news," said Inter supremo Massimo Moratti.

"We understand what we have to do to bring him to Milan, but there are conditions on making this operation possible."

Inter are reported to be offering Goran Pandev - already half owned by Lazio - plus ‚é¼2 million for Cesar.

The Milan outfit are also said to be gearing up a loan move for Greek midfielder Giorgias Karagounis to Lazio, with reports claiming he could fill the void soon to be left by Ousmane Dabo.

The Frenchman is being tipped to leave Rome, with Middlesbrough still being reported in Italy as the most likely destination.

Inter coach Roberto Mancini is still hopeful his former charge Cesar will sign for the club.

"I have asked the club for nothing in the January market, for me it is has been important to have Cesar since June, but I don't know about the negotiations being opened," he said.

Inter are also said to be rivalling Roma and Juventus for Siena's midfielder Rodrigo Taddei.

However, Moratti insisted it was a potential summer deal and at this point, they were merely investigating the player's situation.

"Taddei? I think it is one of those normal negotiations there are made around all good quality players to understand the value. Anyway, it's for June," said Moratti.
