Reports emanating from the North East suggested that Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren was preparing a £500,000 move for Pollit as a replacement for Fulham-bound Mark Crossley.
McClaren was reported to have contacted Rotherham about Pollit, but Moore insists he has not received any enquiries and that the player will stay at Millmoor unless someone makes a ridiculous offer for his services.
"I don't know anything about it and I don't know where these reports have come from," Moore told Planetfootball.com.
"I have not had any contact from anyone from Middlesbrough about Mike.
"The reported fee of £500,000 would never buy Mike and unless they put two or three million on that fee they would be wasting their time.
"Mike is staying at Rotherham as he is my first choice and he has just recently signed a new three-year contract.
"I think people up there have come up with this one after we signed their third choice goalkeeper (Brad Jones).
"I know they were impressed by him during our pre-season game with them, but I have had no contact with them and as far as I am concerned he is going nowhere.
"Maybe someone could come in with a £4 million bid and then my chairman might think about it."
Moore also revealed that there had been no new offers for highly-rated striker Alan Lee.
Cardiff have already failed in one bid for the Republic of Ireland international, but Moore insists there has been no fresh offers and he will stay at the club.
"There has been nothing more from Cardiff and he is still a Rotherham United player," added Moore.
