Elabdellaoui spoke to Guidetti about move to Feyenoord

Manchester City midfielder Omar Elabdellaoui has joined Dutch club Feyenoord on a season-long loan to gain first-team experience. Elabdellaoui has yet to feature for City, but the Norway Under 21 international undertook a loan spell with Stromsgodset in 2011. He recently signed a new two-year contract with the Premier League champions and has now been allowed to move to Feyenoord in the next stage of his development. The 20-year-old is happy with the switch and discussed a move to De Kuip with John Guidetti, who impressed on loan at Feyenoord last season. "I spoke to John about the move and he had only good things to say about Feyenoord," Elabdellaoui told City's official website. "It's an exciting challenge for me and it gives me the opportunity to play regular first-team football that will obviously benefit me and hopefully City as well in the long term. "I was very happy to agree a new contract with City so everything is moving in the right direction. I'm just going to do my best for Feyenoord and enjoy my time in the Eredivisie."
