McDonald returns to City

Defender Clayton McDonald has returned to Manchester City following his month-long loan spell at Chesterfield.

Defender back at Eastlands

Clayton McDonald has returned to Manchester CIty after his loan spell at Chesterfield came to an end. The defender has spent a month with the Spireites, but is now back at Eastlands. The commanding centre-half was brought in on an emergency loan to cover for the suspended Danny Hall. 20-year-old McDonald made his debut in the 2-1 loss at Shrewsbury and then come on as a substitute in the 1-0 win at Bournemouth.
