Defender insists he is happy at Marseille

Marseille defender Taye Taiwo claims Manchester City are one of several English clubs trying to sign him. The left-back has been linked with a move to England for some time with Sunderland reported to have been interested in signing him during the last transfer window. Cash-rich City have also been credited with an interest in the Nigerian international, who impressed against Liverpool in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League meeting between the two sides. The 23-year-old is aware of the interest in his services, but insists he is happy at Marseille. "I know a lot of clubs, notably English ones, are following me," Taiwo told L'Equipe. "Manchester City? Yes, that is a club who would like me, like other clubs I have heard about here and there. "But once again, it is up to the directors at OM to decide. Me, I am very happy at Marseille."
