Elano admits he 'couldn't be happier' with how he has settled in to playing for Manchester City.
The Brazilian was a big-money signing from Shakhtar Donetsk during the summer and has quickly stamped his class on the City side.
In Saturday's 3-1 win over Newcastle United, Elano capped a majestic display with a stunning free-kick into the top corner.
The playmaker acknowledges he is coming up against better defences than in the past, but he is relishing his football in the Premier League.
"I've settled well in Manchester," said Elano after the game. "In fact, I couldn't be happier with the way it's going for me.
"This league is the best I've played in. It's watched all around the world.
"The defences are more professional, more physical and advanced than those I've played against before.
"The game in Brazil and elsewhere is more classical and a bit lazier. Here, everyone works a lot harder."
