Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul is targeting a top-10 Premier League finish after the Magpies ended their "unacceptable" run of four straight defeats.
Krul admits his team realised it would be difficult to replicate last season's Premier League success, especially with Europa League matches added to their fixture list. But he still believes they can enjoy a successful campaign and reach the latter stages of the cup competitions. "If we can just get the confidence back then who knows?" he told The Journal. "We're in the next round in Europe, we have the FA Cup to look forward to and the league, hopefully we can climb up the league as soon as possible."
