Lecce seal loan move

Lecce have beaten a number of Premier League clubs to Lazio's Guglielmo Stendardo. The 27-year-old will spend the whole season on loan at the Via Del Mare after Lecce agreed terms with Lazio. Stendardo was wanted by the likes of West Ham and Newcastle, but he opted to remain in Italy with Lecce. Stendardo, who still has a lengthy contract at Lazio, has fallen out-of-favour with coach Delio Rossi and spent the latter part of last season on loan at Juventus.
