Blackburn attacker attracting interest from England and abroad

Steve Kean will make a 'last-ditch' effort to keep Junior Hoilett at Blackburn Rovers after confirming there is interest from abroad in the attacker. Hoilett is out of contract in the summer and the Canadian is widely expected to leave Ewood Park following Blackburn's relegation from the Premier League. North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs to have been linked with a bid to keep the 21-year-old in English football. UEFA Champions League finalists Bayern Munich, meanwhile, have been mooted as one of several teams on the continent to have been impressed by Hoilett. He made what could prove to be his final appearance for Rovers in Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Chelsea and he has featured over 90 times for the club. Kean has not yet given up hope of hanging on to Hoilett, but he is aware of the amount of interest in one of Blackburn's better performers. The Rovers boss said: "I don't think it is going to be just clubs in this country. "I'm told that there is interest from abroad. I can understand why because he has had some great performances, not only this season, but the past couple of seasons. "We'll make a last-ditch effort to put something in front of him. You never know."
