Rovers forward believes Wolves win could be crucial

Junior Hoilett believes Blackburn's 2-0 victory over Wolves on Saturday was a 'massive' result in the club's quest to secure Premier League survival. Rovers arrived at Molineux in the knowledge that a positive result would keep them clear of the drop zone, and that is precisely what they picked up. Canadian forward Hoilett was the star of the show, with his two-goal salvo seeing Steve Kean's side to three precious points. The magnitude of the success is not lost on the highly-rated 21-year-old, with there every chance a vital victory in the Midlands could prove to be pivotal in Blackburn's season. "I would say this is the biggest win of the season for us," said Hoilett.

Deserved

"It's a very important result towards getting us safe - massive. "It could determine our season and what is pleasing is we deserved to win." Blackburn supporters have not always been on Kean's side this season, with regular protests staged earlier in the campaign, but Hoilett says Rovers' away following helped them over the line against Wolves. He said: "When our fans are cheering for us, it feels like we have 12 players on the pitch, not 11. "This felt like six points. You could say that we are timing it right but really we have been working as hard as we can all season."
