Pearson excited by winger's 'footballing pedigree'

Leicester City have completed the signing of Ben Marshall from Stoke City for an undisclosed fee. As revealed by Sky Sports sources, the 20-year-old winger, who in the first half of the season impressed on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, has agreed a contract with the Foxes until June 2015. Following the arrival of defender Wes Morgan, Marshall becomes boss Nigel Pearson's second new signing in as many days. The Leicester manager said: "Ben is a talented player and we are delighted he has joined the club. "I have spoken recently about the need to address the balance of the squad and Ben will help us to do that. "He is happy playing on either the left or right flank, has settled in straight away and gives us more attacking options. "Ben comes to us with a good footballing pedigree, having worked within the Manchester United and Crewe Alexandra youth set-ups, and has shown the desire to move his career forward by joining us from a Premier League club."
