Hull City midfielder Corry Evans is hoping that caretaker manager Nick Barmby will remain in charge on a permanent basis.
Evans scored a second-half winner against Coventry City on Saturday to lift the Tigers up to fifth in the Championship.
It was the club's third consecutive win and strengthened the case for Barmby to continue as Hull boss following the recent departure of Nigel Pearson to Leicester City.
"We are playing some good football and the lads are all enjoying themselves and the team spirit is as high as ever," Evans told the Hull Daily Mail.
"It's more about continuity now and keeping things going and hopefully Nick does stay on and keep the job because we don't want things to be too disruptive with another manager coming in.
"He's doing a great job at the minute and long may it continue. We have a huge amount of respect for him.
"He has kept things going and it has been a smooth transition. He's an attack-minded person and that shows in his style of football."
