Jackett hands trial to World Cup man

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has handed a trial to Trinidad & Tobago defender Brent Sancho. The Lions' new boss is desperate to bolster his back line with the League One outfit losing over half of their 17 league games this season. Sancho, who featured in all three of Trinidad and Tobago's games in the 2006 World Cup, is available on a free transfer after being released by Gillingham in the summer. Jackett is keen to look at the 30-year-old in action, although he is keeping his cards close to his chest on whether Sancho will become a permanent signing. "Brent is an experienced centre-back," Jackett told the South London Press. "We will have a look at him and see what happens."
