Stockport have signed Blackburn defender Eddie Nolan on a month's loan.

The 18-year-old Irishman will go straight into The Hatters' squad for Tuesday's League Two trip to Bristol Rovers.

Nolan has been a regular at reserve team level for Rovers but has made just the one senior appearance for Mark Hughes.

That came in a 1-0 Uefa Cup win over Nancy in December when Nolan was called on in the first half to replace the injured Andy Todd.

Nolan becomes the third player to have joined County from Rovers this season following earlier loan spells for fellow defender Tony Kane and winger Keith Treacy.
