Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino has warned none of his players are certain to stay at the club this summer.

Pochettino says the club is now 'looking forward' as it embarks on a renewed policy of buying and developing young talent.

But newspaper reports have also linked star players such as Hugo Lloris and striker Harry Kane with possible moves to Manchester United and Pochettino has admitted Spurs cannot compete with big-spending clubs in the market.

He said: "Always, you need to analyse the last season. Nobody is sure that they are staying at the club.

"I do not have the same possibility to spend a lot of money like the manager here two seasons ago. We need to be clever in the way that we build the new squad, because it is difficult to compete with the money.

"We want good players, with the right profile. We need to look forward and learn from the past. We have a different plan to develop over the next few years and we need to deliver it."

We are the only team with three players with more than 10 goals each - Harry Kane, Nacer Chadli and Christian Eriksen. Not Chelsea, not Arsenal, not another team has three players.

Pochettino believes he must strengthen Spurs defensively after conceding as many goals as relegated Burnley, but he also hit back at a recent critic who claimed the club have become boring.

"When we beat Arsenal 2-1 or when we beat Chelsea 5-3, we were not boring," he said. "In football, you always have to accept all opinions but it doesn't affect our decisions or our plan for the future.

"We are the only team with three players with more than 10 goals each - Harry Kane, Nacer Chadli and Christian Eriksen. Not Chelsea, not Arsenal, not another team has three players.

"But we need to find a better balance between offensive and defensive and be more consistent. We need to improve a lot in our defensive situation."
