Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino was disappointed at having to settle for a replay against Burnley after drawing 1-1 in the FA Cup third round tie at Turf Moor.
Pochettino’s side led through Nacer Chadli in the second half, but were pegged back by Sam Vokes’ 73rd-minute strike for the hosts, forcing an unwanted replay for the Spurs boss.
He said: “I’m disappointed because we need to play another game. We have a lot of games ahead and now another one.
“The first half was poor for both teams but the second I think we were better and we let them back in the game. For that I am disappointed.
“We improved our performance in the second half but it wasn’t enough to win the game and go to the next round, but we are still in the FA Cup.”
Pochettino would not be drawn on any transfer speculation after the game and admitted he “didn’t believe” the club would sign anyone in the next week.
The winner of the replay at White Hart Lane will face Leicester at home in an all-Premier League affair in the fourth round, with Spurs’ not having won the FA Cup since 1991.
