Portuguese legend Luis Figo has hung up his boots after playing his final game in Inter Milan's 4-3 win over Atalanta on Sunday.
The 2001 World Player of the Year played for Sporting Lisbon, Barcelona and Real Madrid before spending his last years with Italian outfit Inter.
The 36-year-old, who won four Serie A titles at Giuseppe Meazza, also won 127 caps for Portugal scoring an impressive 32 times over a 15-year period.
Figo, however, has not ruled out a coaching role with Inter and has already held talks with club president Massimo Moratti over a possible stay at the club.
Figo told Sky Italia: "My relationship with the president is really good. He knew this was my will [to retire].
"We spoke but he didn't force me to change my mind. I don't need an agreement with Inter for my future.
"I'm happy to be useful to the club, now I don't know what I will do. The president will tell me.
"After these four years I can't forget what I did here," he added.
