Roy Hodgson hopes to lure a host of new faces to Craven Cottage and Fulham remain hopeful of capturing Marlon King.
Fulham manager Hodgson has begun to overhaul of his inherited squad after replacing Lawrie Sanchez in December.
Hodgson has already landed Leon Andreasen and Brede Hangeland and the Premier League strugglers remain in negotiations with Watford for striker King.
Rangers forward Daniel Cousin is also discussing personal terms with Fulham after a £3million bid was accepted by the Scottish Premier League side.
Difficult
Former Liverpool, Barcelona and Ajax veteran Jari Litmanen is also on trial at Craven Cottage as Fulham attempt to avoid top flight relegation and Hodgson admits deals for perfect players are proving difficult.
"Transfer deals are very complicated these days and take time to complete but I'm trying to get players in who can step straight into the team and fit our criteria," said Hodgson.
"Our battle against relegation starts next Tuesday and there are 15 games left.
"We've had difficult ones against Chelsea, West Ham and Arsenal but I'm not saying players have let me down.
Attitude
"I think they've shown a good attitude, but obviously results mean that confidence is lacking."
And a Fulham spokesman has confirmed that talks regarding the future of £5million-rated King are ongoing and has rubbished suggestions the striker has failed a medical
"We have never said, as has been reported, that Marlon King failed a medical here," said the spokesman. "All we are saying is that negotiations are on-going."
