Lee's agent denies Roma talk

Lee Young-pyo's agent has dismissed rumours he is set to revive his move to Roma.

Tottenham defender Lee Young-pyo's agent has dismissed rumours he is set to revive his move to Roma in January.

Lee was set to join Roma in August after agreeing terms with the Serie A club, but he later changed his mind and decided to remain at White Hart Lane due to personal reasons.

The 29-year-old, who is third-choice full back at Spurs behind Pascal Chimbonda and Benoit Assou-Ekotto, is understood to be keen to move to Italy now after only managing a handful of appearances this term.

Reports in Italy suggest Roma had been approached by the player's representatives about a possible switch when the transfer window re-opens in January.

However, Lee's agent Kim Dong-guk has dismissed the rumours.

"The story has no basis in fact at all," he said to South Korean portal JoyNews 24.

"There is nothing to comment on it."

Spurs boss Martin Jol is still thought to be keen to offload the 29 year-old and would welcome another bid from Roma for the player.
