Spurs' Bryson interest confirmed

Clyde boss Graham Roberts has confirmed that Tottenham are eyeing Craig Bryson.

Clyde manager Graham Roberts has confirmed that Tottenham are looking to beat Celtic to the signing of midfield star Craig Bryson.

The 19-year-old is currently turning heads North of the Border and Gordon Strachan's Bhoys are reportedly keen to offer him the chance to prove himself in the SPL.

However the quality of Bryson's recent form has also seen Premiership clubs take an interest, and the midfielder is now in Martin Jol's considerations.

Whilst praising his starlet for another impressive performance in the 5-1 win over Brechin at the weekend, Roberts admitted he had been made aware of his former club's interest.

"We'll have to wait and see what happens," said Roberts.

"The boy is top notch and was magnificent again today [Saturday].

"Through friends down south, I know Tottenham and other clubs are watching him.

"The boy deserves to go to a higher level.

"He's been playing exceptionally well in recent weeks, getting better with every game."

Despite the growing speculation over his future, Bryson insists he is focusing on the task at hand with Clyde.

"I've not heard anything about it so I'm just going to keep my head down and work hard, hopefully it will come true," said Bryson.

"I've got ambitions to play at a higher level, but right now I'm more interested in Clyde's results than Celtic's."
