Barnsley manager Keith Hill has strongly denied rumours that striker Danny Haynes is set to leave the Championship club.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Oakwell this summer with the likes of Burnley, Hull, Leicester and Portsmouth all rumoured to be considering a move for the frontman.
The Tykes have repeatedly stated that the former Ipswich striker, who has two years left on his current contract, is not for sale.
That has not stopped the rumours though and boss Hill has revealed the speculation is affecting the club and unsettling the player.
"At the moment in time I've not had one enquiry for Danny Haynes, I've just had a lot of speculation," said the 42-year-old.
"I've heard a lot in the press, I don't know where the rumours are coming from. But I can assure you no manager has been in touch with me.
"I think it's been unnerving and upsetting Danny, the speculation, because you can't help but see it, read it, feel it.
"It's not helping me, Barnsley Football Club or Danny Haynes because that speculation isn't real."
