Veteran defender wants Pompey stay and hopes squad is strengthened
Portsmouth defender Hermann Hreidarsson is unconcerned by drawn-out contract negotiations and wants to stay at Fratton Park.
The 36-year-old battled back from a career-threatening Achilles injury to make 29 appearances for Pompey this season, but will be out of contract in the summer.
Hreidarsson is still in negotiations with Fratton Park chiefs and wants to see more new faces at the club next term.
"I want to stay and I hope everyone wants to move forward from here," the Icelander told The News.
"We all want the squad to be strengthened a little bit.
"We have to have a go from the start - not into the season - but from the first game."
