Goalkeeper disappointed after unsuccessful trial

Peter Brezovan is still looking for a new club after Crewe decided not to offer him a contract. The Slovakian goalkeeper has had a short spell on trial with the League Two club and played for the reserves against Aston Villa on Tuesday. However, he did not produce his best form as Crewe's second string lost the match 3-2 and has failed to earn a deal. "It was quite a disappointing game for me," Brezovan, who has been a free agent since leaving Swindon at the end of last season, told The Sentinel. The 29-year-old had a trial with Bristol City earlier in the summer and will keep working hard in an effort to impress another club. "I did quite well at Bristol, but they didn't offer me anything either," he reflected. "There has been a gap since I last played and it has been difficult for me, because I have had to work on my own in the gym to keep my fitness up. "I've not been in this situation before, but now it is a case of keeping going and getting another opportunity to trial somewhere."
