Griffin targets Stoke return

Andy Griffin is hoping to win a return to Stoke following the end of his loan deal.

The full-back has returned to Portsmouth after he finished his three-month loan stay at Stoke at the weekend.

Griffin impressed at The Britannia Stadium, helping them win six of their last seven games.

The former Newcastle man is hoping that Stoke will try to bring him back to the club.

"Hopefully it's not the last time I'll be seen in a Stoke shirt," said Griffin. "I'm more than willing to sit down and talk to the clubs over a move and see what materialises.

"I think there could be something, either permanently come January or another loan deal to the end of the season.

"Things haven't really worked out for me at Pompey and I've come up to Stoke and things have gone fantastically well for me in the last three months, so I'm very keen to get back."
