Harper extends Canaries stay

Norwich City have extended Kevin Harper's loan spell at the club by another two months.

The Portsmouth winger has enjoyed a month at Carrow Road so far and now Canaries boss Nigel Worthington has decided to take him until December.

He has played four games during his stay in Norfolk, missing only one game through injury.

Meanwhile, Worthington has confirmed that he wants to bring in another goalkeeper after his number two Paul Crichton had a knee operation which rules him out of action for six weeks.

Worthington's only cover for first choice Robert Green is 15-year-old Joe Lewis and so he is now looking for cover.

Crichton, meanwhile, is understandably disappointed to be ruled out of action.

"I obviously don't want to miss out, but I know this operation is necessary, it has been a niggling injury and I want to get it sorted out and cleared up. I just want to get back playing again as soon as possible," he said.
