Sam Sodje has stated he will not necessarily join Leeds this summer following his release from Reading.
The powerful defender, who finished the season on loan at Elland Road, is a free agent after leaving the Royals.
The Whites are the early favourites to secure the 30-year-old services, although the two-cap Nigeria international is not short of suitors.
Sodje has conceded he did not realise Leeds were such a massive club, however, he is giving no assurances as to where he will be playing next season.
"Leeds are a massive club. I didn't realise just how massive they are until I got there," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"I loved my time up there and I was so disappointed that I couldn't help get them (promoted). It's a shame to see them where they are.
"I'm a free agent and I'm in a very good position. Will I go back there? I don't know. They are a massive club but I've got a lot of options."
