Reading are set to hold talks with Nicky Shorey over a new deal later this week, skysports.com can confirm.
The Royals are hoping to agree a contract extension with Shorey to keep him at the Madejski Stadium.

The full-back's form has seen attract the interest of other clubs and Reading are hoping to ward off any potential suitors by tying Shorey down to a new long-term deal.
Shorey's agent David Giess confirmed talks were due to take place this week over the player's contract.
"Talks are scheduled for later this week regarding Nicky now Reading are back from South Korea," Giess told skysports.com.
"We will see how talks go and we hope for a successful conclusion."
