Murty could face Reds

Reading captain Graeme Murty could make his Royals comeback against Liverpool.

Reading captain Graeme Murty could make his Royals comeback against Liverpool this weekend.

Murty has not featured for Steve Coppell's side since hobbling out of the team's controversial loss to Chelsea back on October 14.

However, Murty has recovered well from the hamstring strain and club physio Jon Fearn believes he is in with a shout of featuring at Anfield this weekend.

"Murts is progressing very well and is back in sprint training, doing controlled running drills," explained Fearn to the club's official website.

"He has a chance of playing at Liverpool this weekend."

Meanwhile, Fearn is optimistic on long-term injury victim Dave Kitson, after he was given his final course of injections last Friday.

"He was given a final set of injections last Friday, and the early signs are very positive although his knee is still very swollen and sore from the injections," he concluded.
