ROBBO READY FOR READING?

PORTSMOUTH left back Matthew Robinson could be set to seal a move to second division Reading in a £200,000 deal on Thursday afternoon.

The 25-year-old met with Reading officials at the Madejski Stadium on Wednesday night after being watched by Royals manager Alan Pardew in Portsmouth`s 1-1 draw at Stockport last weekend.

Exeter-born Robinson was given permission to speak to Reading by new Pompey boss Tony Pulis and now looks set to leave after just two years at Fratton Park since a £15,000 move from Southampton two years ago.

He has made 30 appearances for Portsmouth this season but has been let down by a poor disciplinary record which has seen him collect five bookings and a red card, but would be seen as a vital player in the club`s fight against relegation.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth have denied that they have made an approach to Bournemouth about a move for their captain, defender Ian Cox.
