Three-year Trotters deal in the offing for Whites goalkeeper

Sky Sports understands Leeds United goalkeeper Andy Lonergan is set to join Bolton Wanderers. The two clubs have reached an agreement for the 28-year-old after Bolton made an improved offer, having earlier in the month seen a bid rejected. Lonergan only signed a three-year contact at Elland Road last summer but has been deemed surplus to requirements following Neil Warnock's capture of Paddy Kenny. Having made 38 appearances for the Whites last season Lonergan would be loath to play second fiddle to Kenny, as he seeks regular football in the Championship. Bolton are looking to provide competition for Adam Bogdan following Jussi Jaaskelainen's departure to West Ham United. It is thought Lonergan will sign a three-year deal at the Reebok later on Tuesday, once a medical has been passed and formalities completed.
