Bluebirds loan ace eager to help side win promotion
Cardiff City's on-loan defender Jlloyd Samuel is looking to get his career back on track having joined the Championship side from Bolton.
Injury has meant the former Aston Villa full-back has not made a first-team appearance at the Reebok Stadium all season.
Fit-again Samuel has now linked up with promotion-chasing Cardiff in a bid to regain his form and fitness while also attempting to help the club secure top-flight football.
Samuel is out of contact in the summer and the 29-year-old is eager to impress while he is in the shop window in order to win a deal for next season and beyond.
Fresh start
"It's a Premier League set-up here. I've come here to get my sharpness and fitness back," he told
Sky Sports News.
"I've been out a long time injured as well, which didn't help my cause. It's a nice, fresh start to myself.
"They've got a good squad of players here. A few players that people would have heard of as well. They've got the know-how. Hopefully we can push on now.
"Being injured you get a lot of time to think. You look at your career and everything's going well. The boys are doing well at the club, but it was like I was standing still.
"Now I've been given a chance to come to a good set-up like this and hopefully get promotion with the club."
