Bolton & Wigan chasing Weiss

Skysports.com understands Bolton and Wigan are battling it out for Manchester City starlet Vladimir Weiss. Weiss, who recently signed a new deal at City, has been given the green light to go out on loan for the remainder of the season. The 20-year-old is down the pecking order at Eastlands and is thought to be keen on a loan switch away to boost his chances of playing for Slovakia at this summer's World Cup finals. Weiss is highly regarded at City and is tipped for a big future in the game, and City chief Roberto Mancini is happy to let him go out on loan to gain some valuable first-team experience. Bolton and Wigan are both thought to have sounded out a move for the exciting midfielder as they look to bolster their squads. A number of foreign sides are also believed to be chasing Weiss, but Bolton and Wigan are hoping to convince him to stay in England.
