Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale has declared that he would allow Dean Moxey to move to Derby County but only if the price was right.
The defender has impressed Rams boss Nigel Clough with his performances after he played a key role in the Grecians' promotion to League One this term.
Derby have already had one bid rejected, thought to be in the region of £200,000, and Tisdale is unsure whether the Championship side will table another offer.
Moxey has made no secret of his desire to play at the highest level possible but his manager insists he will not be bullied into a quick sale.
"I've got no problem with Dean leaving, as long as we get a good deal for the club," he told
Skysports.com.
"It's not a case of holding on to him really, but more a sense of getting good business out of the move.
Good business
"I would be happy for Dean to move on because it would be a good move for him to further his career, but only if the business is right.
"If a player is going to be bought then there has to be three parties which are happy, the player and the two clubs in question.
"We didn't receive an offer which matched our value for Dean, so he is still with us and until we see an offer which we think is appropriate then he will stay here.
"I'm not sure whether we will get another offer for him and it all depends on Derby really whether they come back to us with an improved offer."
Tisdale added that he was not looking to sell any of his star names but with youngsters Paul Jones and Liam Sercombe also attracting attention that may prove to be easier said than done.
"We are definitely not looking to sell anybody and we aren't actively trying to sell a player," he highlighted.
"I've never tried to actively sell a player during my time here, but we do have interest in our players because they are very good players that are given a chance to show what they can do."
