Striker eager to play first-team football

Heidar Helguson is eager to make the most of his opportunity at Queens Park Rangers after finally completing his loan move to Loftus Road. The Bolton Wanderers striker had originally agreed to join QPR last week, but the deal was held up for several days. However, the Iceland international has now signed until 1st January and could make his debut against Crystal Palace this weekend. "This is a good opportunity for me to play some first-team football," Helguson told the club's official website. "I need to be playing regular football and hopefully I'll get the chance to do that here. "When QPR showed their interest in me, I didn't hesitate in making the move. "I've been brought here to score goals. Of course it could take time to settle, like it does at any club, but I am confident I can produce the goods for QPR." Helguson has made just one substitute's appearance in the Premier League for Bolton this season against his former club Fulham back in September.
