Leeds aim to bring in Sorsa and Michalik in January

Leeds United boss Dennis Wise is hoping to sign Sebastian Sorsa and Lubomir Michalik in the New Year. Finnish winger Sorsa has been training with the League One club and will shortly be available on a free transfer. His contract with HJK Helsinki is due to expire and Whites chief Wise confirmed his intention to sign the 23-year-old. "He's a winger who caught our eye and did well," Wise told the club's official website. "We've spoken with him and I'll be looking to bring him in.

Pace and ability

"He's got a lot of pace and good ability. What we've seen we liked and I'm hoping to sign him in January." Wise is also looking to re-sign Bolton Wanderers defender Michalik, who made seven appearances on loan at Elland Road last season. With Rui Marques heading off to the African Cup of Nations, Wise is keen to ensure he has sufficient cover at the back. "I'm after a centre-back and I think everyone knows who," added Wise. "I've been chasing Lubo for a long time and it would be nice if we could make something happen here."
