Jussi Jaaskelainen's agent has admitted talks over a new deal for the Bolton goalkeeper have stalled.

The Finnish star wanted a new deal at The Reebok Stadium after yet another highly impressive season between the sticks.

The 30-year-old is contracted to The Trotters until 2007, but he has been looking to land a new deal for a number of months.

"I have to admit he is considering his future," his representative Peter Harrison told skysports.com.

"Talks have been ongoing for a quite a while but nothing has been agreed.

"Jussi is getting to the age now where he is thinking perhaps it is time for a change.

"However, talks are continuing with Bolton and we will see how they go from here.

"But the signs are at the moment that there are a couple of stumbling blocks."
