Striker enjoying chance to play regular football

James Vaughan remains open to the possibility of staying at Crystal Palace at the end of his loan spell. The Everton striker has scored four goals in seven appearances since joining Palace on a three-month loan deal in September. Palace chairman Steve Parish revealed earlier in the week that the club would be keen to keep the 22-year-old at Selhurst Park on a permanent basis. Vaughan's impressive form for the Championship strugglers has attracted interest from other clubs and he is keeping an open mind regarding his future. "It is not really down to me," said Vaughan in the South London Press. "I am really enjoying my football - and it's a case of wanting to stay at a club where I am playing. "I would not want to be anywhere where I was sat on the bench at this stage in my career. It that means I am staying here, then great."
