Everton boss says side are bursting with confidence

Everton boss David Moyes praised the manner at which his side went about their 2-0 victory at Derby County. The Toffees rarely gave Derby a look-in as goals from Mikel Arteta and Yakubu Aiyegbeni secured the points. Moyes expressed his delight at the display, and revealed that his side are currently brimming with confidence. "It was a good victory. We knew it would be very difficult to come and win at Derby," he said. "I thought for the majority of the game we controlled it. We made some chances and we got some vital goals at important moments. "I felt we were pretty comfortable. I didn't think Derby had too many chances. I can see the confidence growing in the players all the time."

Baines injury

Everton full-back Leighton Baines went off injured at half-time following a crunching challenge from Darren Moore. But Moyes believes Baines should be available again in around a week. "Leighton Baines is a concern, he got a kick and twist at the same time on his ankle. But I don't think there is any serious damage - he might be out for a week," he added.
