David Moyes has no worries about recalling Richard Wright to the Everton starting line-up for Wednesday's clash with Manchester United
The 29-year-old replaces Tim Howard who is ineligible to play against the Premiership pacesetters at Old Trafford due to the terms of his loan move from The Red Devils.
It will be his first game in the top flight for seven months, however Moyes is confident the former Arsenal and Ipswich player will be up to the task.
"Richard has played on big stages before. He is an experienced goalkeeper and it will be a great opportunity for him," said the Everton boss.
"When you give people opportunities you hope they step up to the mark and take it.
"Richard has been there before and done it, so I am not worried about him at all. I know he is looking forward to it."
Wright has struggled to make an impact following the arrival of Howard from United in the summer with his only appearance coming in the Carling Cup victory against Peterborough.
Moyes added: "He knew we were bringing Tim Howard in on loan with the loss of Nigel Martyn.
"Richard was aware there would be competition. Tim has played well for us so he has found it difficult.
"But Richard has been great around the training ground. He is a terrific lad and everyone likes him. He works really hard at his game."
