Moyes eyes Commons

Everton boss David Moyes has earmarked Stoke City winger Kris Commons as his top transfer target when the transfer window reopens in January.

Commons has caught the eye of the Goodison boss since returning to Stoke's first-team following a cruciate ligament injury that ruled him out for most of last season.

Moyes has also been made aware that the 20-year-old is out-of-contract at The Britannia Stadium at the end of this term and may be set to test the resolve of The Potteries outfit with an offer around the £400,000 mark in the New Year.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has yet to open discussions on a new deal with his star midfielder, but Commons is unlikely to continue in the First Division with interest from Premiership clubs.
