Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista believes Arsenal will be better prepared to challenge for the Premier league title next season.

Gabriel Paulista believes Arsenal can win the title next season, and says he is relishing life in London.

Arsenal currently sit third in the Premier League - three points behind Manchester City with two games in hand - but though Chelsea have already been crowned champions, Gabriel believes that sealing second spot, as well as lifting the FA Cup, would make for a successful season.

"The title... it’s not easy, but if we prepare hard enough, we've got everything that is needed to win it," the defender, speaking through a translator, told Sky Sports in an exclusive interview ahead of the Monday Night Football clash away to Hull City.

"We're taking into account that Arsenal has had a bad patch and has worked through it.

"If we manage to win the title (the FA Cup) and come second, then yes, it will have been a good season."

Gabriel has made three league appearances since arriving from Villarreal for £14million in January but revealed he is working hard on his English - with the help of team-mates, as well as manager Arsene Wenger - and has settled well in the capital.

"My main difficulty was the English, that I didn’t understand anything, but I'm working very hard to improve and I'm enjoying myself here," he added.

"He (Wenger) doesn't tell me what to do to learn the language but he helps me on many occasions.

"The Spanish players help me as well; that's what makes the club a family club because everybody helps each other.

"I'm adapting really well and my family is very happy - so I'm happy."

Hull sit just a point above the drop zone but after a surprise win over Liverpool, Gabriel admits Arsenal will have to be on their guard against a side still in peril.

"I think that it is always more difficult to play well against a team that is fighting not to be relegated," he said.

"I think that the main thing is we have to try and play intelligently to be able to overcome that."
