Germany coach Joachim Low believes his team have one foot in the quarter-finals after their 2-1 win over Holland but wants to win the group.
Two first-half goals from Mario Gomez gave Germany a healthy cushion at the break in Kharkiv on Wednesday.
And while Robin van Persie pulled one back for the Dutch it was not enough to deny Low's men victory.
After also beating Portugal on Saturday, the result takes Germany to six points in Group B - three clear of Portugal and Denmark.
That means a point against the Danes at the weekend will guarantee top spot, while a defeat could still see them qualify for the quarter-finals.
But losing is something Low does not want to contemplate because the group winners will be playing in Gdansk - the location of Germany's training base.
"The door to the quarter-finals is now wide open," said Low.
"We wanted to take the next step today and it was important to win the second game.
"It is important to win the group to stay in Gdansk, which would be an advantage in the quarter-finals.
"Holland created a few chances, which our defence dealt with, but I had the feeling Holland were physically dead after 60 minutes."
