Liege defender ready for mission impossible

Standard Liege defender Ricardo Rocha has set his sights on victory over Arsenal but admits it will be 'nearly impossible'. The Belgian side need to pick up three points at Emirates Stadium to make sure they can still progress to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League. They gave the Gunners a major fright at home earlier in the season, taking a two-goal lead after just five minutes before eventually going down 3-2. Rocha is under no illusions as to the size of the task facing Liege but is dreaming of a famous victory. "To defeat Arsenal in London is nearly impossible but miracles do happen in football and we hope to stay in the Champions League," the former Tottenham man told skysports.com.

Arsenal praise

"Arsenal are unquestionably favourites for the match but on the field this can all change. "For us to obtain victory it is necessary to play at 200 per cent." Arsenal are currently eight points adrift of leaders Chelsea in the Premier League but Rocha considers them the strongest English team. "For me right now Arsenal are the best team in the Premier League but perhaps the absences will damage their performance," Rocha said, referring to the injuries Arsenal have to key players including Robin van Persie. "Arsenal's main danger? Anyone. Wenger has found a squad where not only the forwards score."
